Jack Fargone always wanted to live an extraordinary life. Unfortunately he was born on Earth in the early twenty-first century and little would happen. That is until the IDIOTS fleet came into his 9-planet system and destroyed it. The fleet needed fuel to get to their next destination and they converted every planet into said fuel. Fortunately for Jack and 87 other people were rescued. Why he was chosen was just luck. There were 7 billion people on the planet and the IDIOTS chose 87 healthy individuals. It could have been any 87 people with good health but he was one of them and it would change his life and the lives of the other survivors forever.
I am a writer. I have these ideas and I put them into words for others to experience and hopefully enjoy. Most are going to be rough while others are thought out. Some are part of grander ideas while others are just snippets.

2/15/11 Ugh, busy day of writing
I knew this was going to happen this semester. I have a ton of writing and editing I have to do and so little time. I need to start focusing and working throughout the week but it always seems like there isn't enough week to do anything.
I started to read Path to Fury by David Weber for a class and I like the first chapter. It has a deeper setting and more description than Ender's Game by Orson Scott Card. I like a book that that when you put it down you think: "I will never live in a world like this" and you have to decompress from it for a second. I didn't get that with Ender's, perhaps later in the series you do. Won't find out until later though cause right now all I'm reading are books for class. But I guess I'm lucky though cause those books for class are not really all that bad.
Next semester though will be dedicated to one class so this semester is preparing me for Novel writing.
But I did write some creative stuff today so don't worry, I didn't waste the day. I just felt this type of entry was needed. Here is a snippet of what I wrote today.
Jack then sees Pascal and Jean. They don’t see him and he follows them. They have found a docking bay where small ships sit unguarded. Jean, the smarter of the two, goes into one of the ships and comes back out. Jack overhears him say they can take it and leave. They see Jack and he runs from them. They pursue him and the three run through the corridors. Jack comes to a door that has a keypad next to it and he begins punching in a bunch of different number sequences. The French twins come around the corner and see they have him trapped. A light above the door turns green and the door opens. A bright shimmering force field is on the other side and when Jack runs into to it without looking he disappears and the door closes before the twins can get to it.

2/8/11 Then Planet Earth Exploded
Planet Earth explodes. A narrator tells us not to worry though 87 people survived. As well as one of each animal and this is the story of one of those people and his journey to find a new home. The earth exploding rewinds and we zoom into a suburb of Chicago.
Jack Fargone is buying a small engagement ring. The salesman asks how long Jack has been with his girlfriend and Jack tells him they are broken up right now but she will have to take him back. The clerk tells him that never works and Jack tells him he didn’t ask.
Jack leaves the store. Goes to work and tells his friends at work what he’s planning on doing. They all look at him like he is crazy.
Jack leaves work that night and stops by his parents to tell them. They don’t think it is a good idea.
Jack leaves his parents still thinking he will be successful in getting his girlfriend back.
He is on his way to his ex’s apartment when he sees her with another guy. He acts as if he didn’t see it and goes back to his apartment.
He lies down on his bed and falls asleep.

2/7/11 Otto and Zorro
OTTO the WHALE (???)
Swimming the oceans of Earth was a great gig until the planet was destroyed.
Otto spent all of his life on Earth as any normal Humpback Whale would: swimming, eating, and swimming some more.
When the IDIOTS destroyed Earth though they put him and a few other marine mammals into a giant ship that was converted into an aquarium. When Jack accidently puts the wrong coordinates into a transport door, he is sent to the aquarium ship and the porthole that is equipped with the translator. Otto just happen to be at the porthole wondering what it was when Jack approached it and voila, instant friendship.
For a whale, Otto is very insightful. He claims to have learned a lot swimming through the oceans. He had a lot of time to think and ponder and when this young human comes along he provides some sage advice.
Otto is a great mentor and guide to Jack.
Zorro the Dog (?)
Zorro hates to travel so being in space is a nightmare. But fortunately he happens upon a guy who is all about taking care of others and a friendship develops with Jack.
Zorro was the lap dog for an elderly woman who died shortly before the world was destroyed. When her family refused to take him, he was given to a friend of the woman. That woman was not very nice and she made Zorro stay outside in the Mexico heat.
Zorro was picked up by the IDIOTS fleet and was wondering around the ships when he met Jack.
Given a translator by Jack, they now communicate but Zorro is a dog of few words. He mainly communicates in single words at the start of the series but will expand later.

2/1/11: Eating Leftovers 2
The IDIOT Fleet left the solar system with full tanks of gas and 87 new members of the fleet as well as a wide array of animals that had no place to call home. Three ships had been emptied out to accommodate them all. The J’RIN was assigned to the animals. Leftovers from the last outsourcing exchange had been assigned to work on the J’RIN feeding and caring for the animals. So far only three of the leftovers had been eaten. A lion, the other by a tiger and the other by a bear ate one of the leftovers. But that’s not really a problem; the families of those leftovers will be compensated greatly. They will be given the insurance money from the IDIOT fleet corporation which takes out a very large policy on all members of the fleets. Also the families will be given lifetime passes to fly with any IDIOT Fleet that passes near their system.
Which is a great benefit to Leioo of the N system. The bear ate her husband. She warned him not to go but she could not stop him. She had always wanted to see the galaxy though and now this will allow her to do that. When she learned of her husbands demise she mourned for him briefly then contacted the local IDIOT travel agency. They assigned her first class accommodations on a Xeo Class vessel which will have the best spas and entertainment the IDIOT fleet can put hire. Leioo will then jump onto another fleet headed in the opposite direction and from there continue to travel for free until she evaporates into nothing.
The second vessel was given to some of the displaced IDIOT employees from the J’RIN and the 87 Earthlings. The vessel is called the PR’SON. It is a nice ship but no Xeo Class vessel. It has all the amenities the humans will need which includes 25 different dining facilities, 502 living quarters with varying gravity, 3234 waste rooms (otherwise called restrooms or bathrooms by the humans), and an array of entertainment rooms that include fitness and other extracurricular activities. But the humans don’t have to stay on this ship.
In fact, the Commander of the IDIOT fleet has given all the humans free-debarkation passes. Meaning they are more than welcome to leave at the next port of call. The Commander had planned to give each human a transport of their own but the conservationist suggested against that seeing as how none of them know how to fly and would probably crash into an IDIOT fleet vessel.

1/18/11: Jack is a simple man
Jack is a simple man. He worked in a video store peddling the latest rentals out to a dying breed of people. He didn’t have a girlfriend but had a crush on the waitress at the local bar he and his three friends hung out at after work. He was on his way to the bar that evening when the IDIOTS ship picked him from the surface of the planet along with 87 other humans and an array of animals. He had intended on telling the waitress he would like to go out on a date but then the IDIOTS got in the way. So now he is one of 87 humans an alien fleet that’s soul purpose to relocate people around the galaxy.

1/5/11: A whale named Otto
87 people, living not dead, they didn’t have the time to raise the dead survived the destruction of the planet Earth. 6 dogs, 2 birds, and 4 greater mammals were also spared. A humpback whale was one of the choices. No body knew at the time though that the whale was actually named Otto and could speak. Actually, everything was given the ability to speak when brought aboard the IDIOT Fleet. But who wants to hear what an Ostrich has to say.
We were getting ahead of ourselves.
The Planet was doomed.
Not from the scourge of mankind and all our misguided decisions to consume all the fossil fuels and use up all the resources. No, that would have eventually killed us all. The world was doomed by outside forces of business and economics among alien races that have no idea mankind even existed. Well, up until about twenty minutes ago they did not know we existed.
The Intergalatic Department of Industrial Outsourcing and Teleportation Services (IDIOTS) planned to use the nine planets in our solar system as crude fuel for their freighters that were transporting workers from one job site to another. But on this particular day the new recruit at the data analysis terminal decided to follow all protocols in the New Recruit handbook that had just been updated. As this recruit was excelling at his job a small alien stumbled onto the deck. Usually IDIOTS would not give a second thought to an insignificant race such as Humans, but it just happen that a liberal, bleeding heart conservationist was on the bridge of the fleet command ship and saw the results of the scan.
He was a little eight-armed man whose six bulbous eyes were not accustomed to the harsh lighting in the corridors of the command ship. He had to squint his way around the ship and the ships captain was trying very hard to keep the lights at maximum illumination. It was during his blind wandering that the conservationist stumbled into the dimly lit bridge.
