Ensign Est adjusted his eye patch. The complexity of the human eye made it impossible to replicate as they could other body organs. Any attempt to replicate the eye had been unsuccessful and further attempts were avoided because it was more cost effective to develop organs that worked and created revenue.
Est adjusted his eye patch and waited impatiently. It was how he knew he had waited too long. It was a strange tick he thought but it helped him gauge how long he had been waiting when he wasn’t wearing a watch. The hallway outside the commander’s office was busy.
Soldiers rushed past him going about their business. He had no idea why he was here.
